Who uses what and why. I just picked up my first AR and went with a Trijicon Reflex site which I like very much. I got it used and got a very good deal on it, like 275. But for the better high end optics who uses what and why. I can definitely say I am feeling the no need of batteries for the trijicon equipment. Are you guys using magnified or not or both?

Aimpoint all the way, I have a CompM2. I run it because its a proven design, outstanding battery life, and outstanding durability. Its even water proof. I run mine with no magnification. Trijicon ACOG would be my 2nd choice if I were rich. My Baby... My Aimpoint

I agree w/ 5P. I've seen both Eotechs and Trijicons go down for various reasons.
I have an Aimpoint Comp M4s and I've pretty much abused it and it hasn't failed me yet.

I had an EOTech for 3.5 years... I never had any issues... When I get back into the AR world I will check out different options... I want something with magnification next time...

Burris AR-332 Prism: I just read some pretty interesting/good reviews on this pseudo acog. I think I may go with this just for giggles. I like the idea of moderate maganafication as well as red, green and black dots.
Bushnell Trophy TRS-25: I just clicked buy on now this just for the absolute hell of it. Great reviews and its only $99 from Cabela's
I already have my Trijicon reflex. After these 2 all I will need is a decent scope and I guess I can call my self good on optics

The Aimpoint C3 seems like a good deal for the money . They lack the NVD compatability and deep dive capability of the milspec dots - not a bad trade-off for civilian use , IMO. Our C3's live on the AR middies. Hensoldt Wetzlar 2 1/2 X magnifiers on LaRue flip mounts add some versatility. The Aimpoint Micro's are one of the few dots that co-witness on AK's with Ultimak rails. pricey , but worth it.
