Shot first batch of reloads using 3.7 gn Clays and hornady XTP 230gn. Using a Hornady Lock n Load progressive. Loads worked great in my p14-45. Up untill I got a couple of squibs. I checked the charge weight manually and I guess the Clays meters +/- .1 grains or so. I set the OAL to 1.205" that's consistent. I think I may need to up the charge weight to 4 gn and/or decrease the expansion/increase the crimp.
Looking for the lightest practical load for target practice/training.
