Looking for input on this from anyone with experience carrying these handguns. I am average size and build not small, not tall. But I have long legs/arms and huge hands. Think my growth was stunted somehow lol So the compact weapons just don't fit my hands (I've tried several). I even added bulk to the grips on both of these pistols to make them feel more comfortable and less tiny in my hands. long story short is that I need holster options for full sized pistols... maybe one day with enough training I'll shoot the compact stuff well enough to confidently cary.

What type of carry are you looking to do?
IWB OWB leather kydex with or without retention loops Clips paddles pancakes with or without cant
This is the shortlist of criteria needed to give a better opinion.

Flexible in most/all respects: IWB either secure holster but don't like the serpa type lock willing to try loops paddles or pancakes... not fond of clips (they have come undone) FBI cant is preferable but can adapt.
Just looking for setups that folks have tried that worked for them and I can guage as I browse for new holsters. I'm sure like everyone else, I will increase my cache of holsters before I settle on one or two favorites. Just want to cut down that number and expense a little if possible. Thanks for your help.

IWB and thumb-straps or retention devices are not a good mix IMO. I'll look around because you're toting around some heavy hardware.

Thanks... I should clarify... IWB for summer/light clothing. In fall and winter I have gone OWB when wearing longer shirts or jackets/outer clothing. sorry for not being clearer.

If you want to kill two birds with one stone then get a Comp-Tac MTAC for one gun and spare holster body for the other gun. I have a MTAC for my G30, spares bodies for my 1911 and G17. These are great IWB holsters and they are tuckable. They are also having a sale this month. It's the best time to buy. They don't come around often.
