Well I stopped by Walmart ater work today & I picked up 3 100 round boxes of WWBin 9mm & 3 50 round boxes of Federal in .40 S&W. I talked to the guy behind the counter & he didn't know anything about WM having a dispute or not selling these brands. He did however confirm what another associate told me about WM dropping ammo sales all together at this location.

If this dispute is real WM may be selling off their remaining stock.

I'll just have to wait & see.

I'm here now at Parma, OH location. They have plenty of 100 round packs in .40, as well as Federal 50 count boxes also in .40.

9mm all they have is the new orange box stuff. No way in the world I'm paying $17 for 50 rounds of 9mm.

I should grab some of this .40 in anticipation of my Glock 23.

%P, that would be the smart tjing to do, grab it while you can. Walmart's the cheapest game in town for ammo, well before that orange box stuff.

If you buy ammo over the Internet, here's a website that keeps track of the lowest prices: http://www.ammoengine.com

I reload all my 9mm and .45ACP ammo. So no need to deal with Walmart, K-Mart or any other neighborhood retail supplier. I just saved the above link as a FYI in my "gun stuff" folder on this laptop computer. I am in Denver all this week with the wife on a business trip [her company] and will look over the ammo engine website later tonight after dinner.

In the past I have purchased ammo through the Gunbroker.com auction website. Of course this was prior to purchasing my entire reload setup. The ONLY drawback with the Gunbroker site...if you do find ammo in the quantity you desire and the price is right. You no doubt have to compete with other bidders first. Then finally if you win the auction Ya gotta pay for the shipping of the ammo to your home, which is no big deal but. Some of these sellers can make a "killing" by overcharging you in the shipping and handling.

Oh man I was tempted to buy three 100ct boxes of .380 FMJ and one 100 ct of JHP. I left them in the store because I didn't need them. I could have sold them at a mark up, but i didn't want to deal with the hassle. Anyway, I stopped at another Wal-Mart on my home and scored five 100ct boxes of .45 and one box Federal 9mm. I now have enough to cover the M&G and two classes.

My wife went to the Walmart in Kingstown today & the only 9mm they had was the orange boxed brand. If you see WWB or Federal you'd better grab it.
