An update/new piece of information for the gang here. The GSSF organization has their new match schedule http://gssfonline.com/match-info.cfm posted on their website. So for the man with the G26 in Ohio, there is a match coming up around July 31 through August 1st, in Marietta Ohio. The last time I shot one of their matches was back in October in the Tucson area. I had a blast and I even did well enough to win a Glock VERY sharp hunting knife. The bad boy is almost as sharp as a razor.

They usually require a $25 dollar annual membership fee to be allowed to shoot in any of their events so you will have to do that first then, sign up/register and pay the required match fees for the match of your choosing. If the shooter does well enough he/she could very well win a brand new Glock firearm!! :righton:

You can get more detailed information by going to this link http://gssfonline.com/match-info.cfm I just did and the surrounding states of North Carolina, Kentucky and Maryland all have upcoming matches in the next couple of months. All are within decent driving distance from you there in Virginia.

Select a GSSF event nearest your state, lookup the sponsoring club or shooting organization, see if they have a website so you can get more detailed driving directions [here I use Mapquest] and decide if you want to participate. Remember, you MUST sign up with the GSSF folks by becoming a annual member. Then and only then will they allow you to submit their online match registration form to participate.

So far I have participated in the most recent match held in Tucson [last October], they run three stages and believe me, you can do well as long as you understand the basics of competition shooting, some of the procedures that can be found on the USPSA website http://www.uspsa.org/ that are used during each stage and you'll be fine.

A stage BTW is what is called the "course of fire". Here you start from a specific position, you follow the "commands" given by the Range Officer breathing over your shoulder, you load up your firearm and do your thing. Go to the USPSA website and they can thoroughly explain how a typical match works.

Hope the above information helps.

Nice! What laser is that?

Also looks like you colored in your engraving, did you use the crayon technique?

Whats up 5 Pillars! Its a Crimson Trace, model #lg-436... I brought one online for 204$, did'nt like the way the dot looked...called CT and they sent me a new one. Their customer service is outstanding. It mounts directly to the trigger guard in about ten minutes...settings for windage and elevation, master on/off switch. The only problem I had was finding a holster for it... there aren't very many options....crossbreed, high noon, and galco all IWB. I picked up one from Us holsters but it doesnt fit very well. Some more for u guys..

In the next two pics you can see the holster I got off line and how it fits....look how much open space is at the interior, at the bottom when the G26 is in it.... So I might have one made for it.

For the coloring a white crayon and then a wipe down....will last for a long time....I did that coloring last year...

That Glock 26 is nice, although I have large hands, I like those sub-compact Glocks.

My next purchase will be a 26. Had I known about the extenders when I got my 19, I probably would have gotten the 26 first. Truth be told, I'm glad I got the 19, now I have an excuse to get the 26.

Happy Glockin'
