Are you carrying a tactical along with your firearm, or keeping one nearby? Thanks to bwalk, I now carry a Quark 123 Tactical. Its a one cell light with a max of around 170 lumens. It also has several settings such as strobe with can be beneficial during a night time incident.

Right now only one of my holsters accommodates a rail light so I haven't taken mine out at all yet.

Quark Tactical with clip. I really dig this light. Its really small, fits in your pocket, and produces a very strong beam. The model I have may not work for some because of its size, but there are larger models. Also check the different settings. I keep mine on high (not max), and scrobe.

Flashlights that operate on CR123 batteries are fantastic, but I can't get over the price of those batteries relative to more popular batteries. Fenix flashlights that operate on AA (or AAA) batteries are more than sufficient for brightness and shine life. See Nutnfancy reviews on Youtube. Plus, I already have a large supply of AA batteries for other devices. That's just a thought if you want a good flashlight but don't want to deal with CR123 batteries.

The batteries are expensive, but 4sevens has a pair CR123 batteries for $7 shipped. Thats cheaper than Wal-mart.

I carry a Blackhawk Sentinel PL3-AAXTR 65 lumens plenty bright enough, uses AA batteries, and I have plenty of rechargeables.
